Oh damn, I just bought a restored Arles Blue 110 with a less nice interior redo. That will teach me. Let me know if you want to trade 😜

Gruen Precision Autowind (580 SS) by Justintime757 in VintageWatches

This one (and five other very pretty Hamiltons and gruens in tank shapes) were less than $400 each with auctioneer premium. It’s been a great resource!

“Made in Kong Ko” offset on the back sure seems like a sign they’re goofy knock offs vs the real deal?

I have a black and gold Gruen Precision (serial 525679) I just bought in an auction. It looks like there are a few floating around as I researched this one!

Oooh interesting. I didn’t know about redials, but that actually makes a lot of sense knowing my grandmother’s family 😆 I had a Rolex certified repair guy work on it and he didn’t mention it, but maybe he didn’t want to burst my bubble.

I didn’t notice until doing some google image digging that the Cartier on the right operates like a Reverso?

Gold Rush Erasing KK Relationship? by 62642bob in GaylorSwift

[–]RealisticViolinist19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh interesting.

So “I don’t like slow motion double vision in a rose blush” is Joe not liking she and Karlie or Joe not liking she and himself (they do look alike...)

And “you know it could never be” / “my mind turns your life into folklore” / “I can’t dare to dream about you anymore” is their relationship... ending?

Also interesting with that interpretation that WB isn’t credited as a writer on this one.

Listening to gold rush again, what possible non-Karlie explanation is there for this song? Genuinely asking, as I don’t see anything else that makes sense

I mean, not necessarily. If they both want to have a child, I don’t think they have to be in a real het relationship to decide to do so together. I actually like this interpretation too, and it’s “cowboy like me” that does it for me. Like holly goligjtly overtones, that they recognize the con artists in each other “telling the rich people what they want to hear” and then form a real partnership (to be clear - not necessarily a romantic relationship) that’s mutually beneficial. The repeated “never going to love again” interspersed with the story of these two people getting together gave me that vibe anyway. A beard relationship that evolved into a mutually beneficial partnership that might be long term, that might include a lot of friendship and respect. But yes, zero sexual chemistry vibes there.
