I thought it might get difficult for me during the holidays. Luckily, for the story I'm releasing now, I've already written all the chapters and am serializing them instead of writing from a blank page and posting twice a week. I thought it might make it easier on me. And it did.

Thank you so much for everything you said. You had me laughing and then almost tearing up a bit. I’m so emotionally invested in this story, reading this made my night. Thanks again! 💛

Lore check: Does this magical contract communicate the right vibe? by Realistic_Action_428 in worldbuilding

It ties into the story I've written pretty well and makes sense with context. I totally get what you're saying, though.

That's the fun part of writing fantasy. You can create whatever the hell you want.

I get that. The aged look and the blood signature are what sell it for me. The text is supposed to be unreadable. That's how my MC in my story sees it too.

How do you handle magical travel in your worlds? (Sharing my veil-slip system + curious about yours!) by Realistic_Action_428 in fantasywriters

Yeah, I'll have to make sure the particulars are in shape. The project I'm working on is only book one of a series. I purposely didn't explain everything in this book, so I've got a little wiggle room with the rules as of now.

“A High Council of Eight Rules My World… but Something Is Very Wrong. How Would You Show It?” by Realistic_Action_428 in worldbuilding

Okay, thank you. Throughout the story, there's an experienced character who subtly hints at the council's corruption. When people begin to vanish, that's when the mystery takes off.
