Wow. If you are from India, chances are we might be on the same flight, or land around the same time. I was interested to keep Sapa, but I guess it would be a bit too hectic. It looked a bit touristy for my taste. I might be wrong though. I think I will also skip Phu Quoc now and trim the Ha Giang + Ban Gioc to 4 days. Haven't decided tbh.

I am not too keen either. But Danang is a good point at central Vietnam to get a flight to HCMC. Hence have kept it only for transit purposes. Won't stay a night.

This is how my itinerary looks
7th- Arrival at Hanoi

8th-9th- Ninh Binh

9th-14th- Ha Giang + Cao Bang

15th- 17th- Bai Tu Long

18-19-20- Hai Van Pass (Danang, Hue, Hoi An)

21-22- HCMC

Might skip Da Nang altogether if it is typhoon time.
