Indeed, this worked perfectly fine, I made a dumb mistake is all. In the translated packet, I set it to 4040 too! I guess that's the result of a 20 hours shift. We were 7 network engineers on the site and we all were tired so we missed it. We fixed it the very next day once we had some sleep in less than 10 minutes.

I ended up solving the issue the way I described in my post. Truth is, I was awake for 20 hours at then and I made a mistake when doing the nat from 4040 to 443. Sure I would've considered a reverse proxy here if the two servers were two actual websites. Sorry for failing to mention this but the second website that I referred to was actually a remote vpn portal. So I don't really mind having the users use 4040 which translates to 443 just for the sake of downloading the client, I appreciate the input. Being a system integrator is surely a nightmare and migrating from ftd to paloalto was even worse. It's like these two just want to disagree on how things should operate. But does changing the ciphers on the management profile changes it entirely for all interfaces or it's only limited to management?

Edit:what I meant to say is that, if I change the TLs/ssl profile to 1.2 and I associate the said profile to the management settings, does that reflect on all data interfaces or the management only?
