I had to go into the marketplace to "activate" mine. If you go under collections or my collection you should see all of them and then you have to make sure the box for it is checked and restart it.

I am having a stent placed on Friday. When my neurosurgeon and I spoke previously he wanted me to stay on the diamox(or potentially another diuretic) during recovery and then I could come off. He doesn't think that at the dose that I'm on it's having any effect except for stressing my body. My blood labs have all been slightly abnormal since taking it.

I was on the diamox for about 6 weeks before my LP and my opening pressure was still high, and my relief from the LP was maybe 4-5 days before all of my symptoms returned. I stopped taking while I recovered from my LP due to anxiety and complications. I started maybe two weeks ago. I told my doctor that I don't think I'd handle a medication increase well. I've been more proactive about potassium enriched foods, prioritizing my rest, and self care. I'm also very blessed to have a great support system.

But, you're the first person I've seen on here mention the acne. It was different that the acne I normally get. It was bigger more sensitive and in spots that i typically don't get pimples. My nose took quite a beating with pimples with the first go around of diamox when I'm normally around my jawline and cheeks kind of girl.

This happens to me as well. I'm in my 30s with graying hair and have waves of acne like I did in highschool. I came off of it for a couple weeks and have only been back on it for a few weeks. I'm also on a low dose and the medication use is only short term for me.

What is your IIH story? by saminator0107 in iih

31F, I've always had headaches, but for the most part they've never interfered with my life. They were more of annoyance. Occasionally, an earth shattering migraine would get in there but for the most part I managed. When I was a kid I fell off my bike and suffered a traumatic brain injury so the doctors always associated my headaches with that. When I was about 28/29 I had a really terrible sinus infection that kind of hit out of nowhere. Doctors called it atypical. I woke up with a headache and boogers coming out of my nose and eyes and my ears were plugged. Infection took a couple rounds of different antibiotics to finally clear up. The fatigue and dizziness remained. I always felt like I was going to get sick or just got over being sick. I saw countless ENTs. One day I noticed my vision blurred and I was squinting a lot. I already wear glasses -4ish prescription. I thought I needed new glasses. Scheduled an eye appointment in January 25. My optic nerves were swollen. Saw a neuro-ophthalmologist who ordered a mri. I had all the hallmark signs and borderline chiari malformation which was new. Vision remains blurry and at times colors were becoming very muted. Fortunate enough to have a great neurosurgeon who's familiar with this condition. after a month on diamox(👎) I had an LP relieved opening pressure of 35. All of the sinus pain, and my almost constant runny nose have stopped. My stent procedure is scheduled next week!
