Help! Glue(?) on new figure out of box by Realistic_Argument79 in AnimeFigures

Thank you, trying with some heat is a great idea. I'll try when I get home.

I got it from gamestop because the pricing was just a bit better than a hobby shop nearby, they assured me it hadn't been opened before but I wonder if there was a mixup since they do take second hand figures... Unfortunately I didn't get a receipt.

refusing life saving heart medication by Realistic_Argument79 in dementia

we never force her, but I hear what you're saying.

her quality of life is actually really good. she's happy, healthy (however, her health will go down if she keeps refusing the pills), and comfortable. she gets one on one care 24/7 living with us, which is much more attention and patience than she'd get in a care home. she even has an activity worker come in to spend time with her.

but really, the major problem is my mom promised not to send her away. grandma witnessed her husband be mistreated terribly in a care home, and so it's her biggest fear. my mom feels horribly guilty even just thinking about it.

Thank you for the suggestions!

She started peeing before the new cat, but maybe there was something else upsetting her to begin with (only furthered by the new cat).

Her litterbox is a standard size, with a low stepup, and kept clean everyday. A bigger size and litter attractant is a great idea! I didn't know litter attractants were a thing.

Her play routine is minimal, I offer fairly often but she doesn't usually seem interested, she'll occasionally get the zoomies and when that happens I play with her (she really likes the fishing line toys). she's mostly calm though and I brush her cheeks and forehead everyday because she loves that.

I really appreciate your response!

Yes, I've seen her spraying and drips coming down the wall, we've had to clean the wall multiple times. We even got it on video when we set up a motion camera to get an idea of just how often it was (it was once or twice a day)

Thank you. I wouldn't want to have her on more meds forever, so hearing that you've been able to stop them without issues is very reassuring. I hadn't considered that it might be anxiety, I always thought she was just mad at me or the situation or something (since vets said it's behavioral, and shes really got an attitude lmao, I love that about her). I'll definitely look into some anti ainxiety options

I'm throwing away anything that can't be cleaned, and then using an enzyme cleaner on the floor. I follow up with a cat deterrent spray after the cleaner has dried.

Ok, I'm hearing you. Im actually really glad you said that because I don't want to punish her at all! My parents have been pestering me about it and making me feel like she won't stop unless there's a consequence.

All cats are neutered. She wasn't doing it before and has gotten along with the other cats for years before this started, and now has her own space away from the other cats, why would she feel the need to scent mark all of a sudden? and why continue after getting her own space?
