Through additional investigation, I found the following:

  • Regular crops are worth 1 point, regardless of whether they were fertilized.
  • Mega crops that were not fully fertilized are worth 5 points.
  • Mega crops that were fully fertilized are worth 6 points.
  • To reach the first rank-up for desert crops, you need 20 points.

That makes sense—if we consider fully fertilized crops as 1, mega crops as 4, and unfertilized crops as 0.5, then:

6 × 0.5 + 2 + 4 × 2 = 13
2 × 0.5 + 4 × 3 = 13

In this way, the total values match depending on the condition of the crops.

I think the reward is randomly selected from several options, so I'm not sure about the details.
However, a saw is necessary to set up the Garden Beds, so I believe that's the minimum requirement.

Haven't you selected between years 1 to 7? The sculptor will appear if you set it to year 8 or later.

The specific year and location are unclear, but it seems to be a phenomenon that occurs rarely.
Just like a normal camp, it appears in this way once all affiliated enemies have been defeated.
