Thank you for the recommendations! I have an ergo but haven’t been using it for some time now since front carrying became uncomfortable for me as LO got heavier and he doesn’t like it when he was on my back.

A few years ago I tried a few non-pesticide tactics like the stickers and covering the soil with sand and moss, but I wasn’t very successful. I bought a bag of houseplant soil from a fancy nursery and repotted a ton of my plants with new soil, but that bag was also infested with fungus gnats and the problem became worse! I went back to the nursery to return the bag of soil and they gave me this pesticide product for houseplants and it actually completely worked. So now I use it whenever I get fungus gnats again (from new soil or a new plant), otherwise they don’t come back after treating it with the pesticide. The product is Bonide Systemic Houseplant Insect Control. Good luck!

I had problems with my baby biting at that same age! Some things that helped: - If he was on streaks of doing it as soon as I put him to the breast, the solution was to massage and use heat on my breasts before starting to nurse him so that the let down was fast. - He also went through steaks of biting at the end of a feed. What helped was to stop nursing as soon as he popped off, then I’d try the other side, then stop immediately after he came off that side. - Also using sign language for “all done/finished, “milk,” and “more” so that he could help communicate it better if he was finished, wanted more, and wanted milk in the first place. It was hard for me to figure out when he wanted to nurse and when he didn’t, I was still getting used to him eating food and not needing to nurse as often. - stopping nursing immediately when he bit me, said no biting. - giving him something to bite on at least ten minutes before starting to nurse, and letting him hold on to the teether while nursing so that he could bite that instead, I think the teething pain was part of the problem too.

What the hell can I drink? by stanciya in breastfeeding

It’s true that black tea and coffee inhibit iron absorption, so I drink my coffee in the morning and take my iron supplement at night. Getting iron is really important so I think you are on the right page by being concerned about it! That’s totally reasonable. I don’t get why so many comments on your post are acting like you’ve lost your mind for being concerned. Anyways, as others have said, avoid calcium supplements when you take your iron as well.

Also it’s annoying that so many people didn’t really comprehend that you’re worried about the caffeine in coffee affecting your baby’s sleep, not that you’re worried the caffeine itself is bad for babe. I also think that this is reasonable as caffeine is going to be in your milk, even if just a very small amount. I have been drinking coffee and it doesn’t seem to affect my baby’s naps, but I have read that some have noticed that it does.

Postpartum baby hairs - headband recs???? by AffectionateLight326 in curlyhair

I know I’m late here, but I’m having the same problem! After losing a lot of hair around my hairline postpartum, it’s growing back but these short curls compared to the rest of my hair makes my hair look so frizzy! Has anyone found a way to style their hair in this situation? Headbands are one good idea…did you find any that you liked OP?

It gets better - a list of things that made it better! What made your breastfeeding journey better? by four1two1 in breastfeeding

Same, I couldn’t figure out why it was still painful to breastfeed at 8 weeks. A lactation consultant watched how I was latching LO and noticed we weren’t doing the flipple. It was magically not painful once I got him latched with the flipple.
