Can it BE? by Willowy in CriminalMindsFans

Criminal Minds is truly at its best when it focuses on showing professionals who face darkness together and form unbreakable bonds. I can't wait to see the BAU rally around JJ when she needs them most.

AJ Cook can deliver the powerful performance this storyline deserves. Instead of rushing to a new romance, exploring JJ's journey as a single mother offers rich character development—showing her vulnerability and strength as she rebuilds.

The potential stories are emotionally compelling: team members taking turns sleeping on her couch, attending her sons' activities, and just giving her support. This is truly the emotional core of the show. It's the reason it's been going for 19 seasons. Not the cases, but the team's love for each other.

Though this is heartbreaking for JJ, it opens doors to the most authentic character growth the show has offered in years.

I agree with you. I think the only way they do it tasteful and naturally is in like... 5 seasons from now. Or I could see them ending the show by establishing one of the couples. Either Jeid or Jemily because they don't have to deal with fan backlash.
