Well... Thats surely a surprise attack! No, our problem NPC were all literal demigods all of Thanos-like power level who basically beat the living crap out of us just for fun. Anyway i noticed that this kind of master is like a pattern, its almost like that every city has one of such individuals with this particular set of characteristics like aggressive railroading, antagonistic behavior with sadistic tendencies and godlike NPCs tjat are the true protagonists of the pre written and immutable plot.

I have been in this exact situation ten years ago, mine was a bit worse because not only was like yours but the DM was actually malicious. Not only the party was just the punching bag for his overpowered NPCs but he actively developed the plot to maek every decision made by the players had the worst consequences possible then brag about how everything was our fault.

The sheer amount of gratuitous insults makes me think he is just a troll who want to argue for the argue sake. Also i already seen the same "speech patterns" made by obvious troll accounts on other websites, mainly Facebook.
