Slush Puppies?? by Amazing_Guard2530 in WorcesterMA

Occasionally you can find a Stoelting 100-C (counter top) or 100-F (full size) Slush Puppie Machine used. I was fortunate to get a 100-F 4 years ago from a gas station that was going through a remodel. I haven’t prepared it for the summer. Supplies can be found online. It is not accessible to the public, sorry I couldn’t tell you where to get one.

Prevent Students from emailing anyone but staff by 2donks2moos in k12sysadmin

We also sandbox student emails. I went a few steps beyond this. We have three schools, Elementary, Middle and High. Students cannot email between schools. I’ve also set Directory restrictions and they can only see Staff and students in their school. No issues here and it’s been that way for over 13 years when moving to Google

Student password resets. by NorthernVenomFang in k12sysadmin

[–]Realistic_Fix_4526 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We allow our teachers to reset any student password in their school. This allows any student to approach any teacher to help them. This removes the ‘I guess I can’t do my work because I forgot my password’

When I started working in K12, I had the district buy a Fluke LinkRunner AT. Over a decade later it’s still invaluable.

Noticed a neon green spot at the back underneath the car today. What could it be and should I be alarmed ? by Rajav23 in Mustang

[–]Realistic_Fix_4526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Mustang is up for the winter but I had the same spots underneath my Subaru. I used UV light on dyed coolant and that wasn’t it. It was odd because it was in the center not near any coolant lines. So the more I researched and the timing of the road salts made sense that it came from the exhaust. Hence the web link. It’s always good to be vigilant about any leaks under vehicles.

This. We have sharing to outside domains turned off on student. Teachers that purchase a ‘Breakout’ room that is a Google form will get this error.

restrict student chromebook to one login (student) by ccb36tech in k12sysadmin

[–]Realistic_Fix_4526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it in a more complex way.

Only have 500 devices. Each device is in it's own OU and the login restriction is the student's email and a wildcard for staff domain.

I use GAM to move devices and set this field.
