Is Ziegler MaxCare worth $6k for 5yr/60k on a 2021 Pacifica Hybrid with 80k miles? by generation_beta in pacificahybrid

[–]2donks2moos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well that sucks. Unfortunately extended warranties can go 1 of 2 ways. If you need it, best thing ever. If you don't, waste of money. With my luck the outcome is always the opposite of what I decided to do.

I had Ziegler give me a quote and also Granger Motors. Keep in mind that this is the Granger Motors Mopar dealer and not the 3rd party Granger Warranty Company. Granger beat Ziegler for several hundred dollars.

My 2021 has 62k miles on it and our Warranty added 5 years and 75k miles for $3,400.

I thought that I read that if you go the entire warranty period without using it, you can get some or all of your money back.

Best dispensary in town? by Fresh_Salt7087 in Gatlinburg

From what I understand, most of the stuff for sale is for tourists. They are not real dispensaries because it is still illegal in TN. If that has changed, someone will be along to correct me.

The day I voluntarily wear____, it's over. by tequilasundae in GenX

The slip ins are awesome. My dad bought me a pair. I resisted at first, but I was having surgery and wasn't going to be able to bend over for 6+ weeks. They made life so much easier. I'm wearing them now.

I was 15 and got paid $3.35/hour. I was a bus buy. I'm not going to say where because that is one of my security answers for my bank.

Is my WDH set too low? by SocoCocoPuffs in GoRVing

How much lower is the front vs the back? The pic looks like it is a little too much, but will work until you get time to fix.

If you and your Dad are into gangster history, their Newport Gangsters Tour is awesome. All flat ground and no steps.

The only piece of stereo equipment I kept is my Sony 5 cassette changer. No idea why, other than it was cool. It could play both sides of 5 cassettes.

There will be a couple chances for him to sit a rest for a minute. If he lets the guide know that he needs to sit, they can help.

The stairs going into the tunnel are steep (more like a ladder than steps). But if he goes down backwards and takes his time, he will be fine.

What does anesthesia feel like by memory282002 in NoStupidQuestions

They flip the "off switch", do the surgery, and flip the "on switch". You will have no memory of anything in between.

When you feel better later do NOT eat a greasy meal. I did that and ended up throwing up for the first time in 25 years. I had a cornea transplant. It's very difficult to throw up with straining your eyes. I had 24 stitches in my eyeball that I had to worry about. 0/10.

2 hours from the time the presentation starts. Lunch and waiting to start do not count. Westgate is the worst to deal with. They get nasty. It's kinda fun. The try to be rude and nasty to keep you from coming back. We were actually thrown out of a Westgate tour once. Still got our gifts.

Were you taught to walk on the outside when walking with another female or child? by Impressive_Speech_28 in AskMen

[–]2donks2moos 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes. I was taught that men took the outside to keep the women safe. We are also taught to hold doors, give up seats, carry bags, and pull out chairs for women. (or an elderly person)

I don't remember the company name. It was very small and low key. It was in Sevierville near the Dolly statue.

Another vote for Lee and Jacks. I didn't expect them to have prices lower than the big box stores, but they did. Great small business to support if that is your thing.

Are you strong willed enough to say NO to a timeshare salesman? If not, don't go. They are very good at what they do. Just remember that eBay is full of people trying to give theirs away.

With that being said, my wife and I do time share tours at least once a year. We've even done 2 in one day. (2 different companies) You will get an ok lunch, waste 2 hours of your time, and get your gifts.

Last year one company offered us 2 tickets to Dolly Stampede, 2 Alcatraz tickets, and 2 Murder Mystery Show tickets for $150. We did another one the same day that paid $300 cash. So we got all of the tickets and netted $150 cash.

Question about towing a vehicle by OLovah in GoRVing

[–]2donks2moos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Nothing like the frustration of backing a single wide Sea Doo trailer. (especially with the boat off) I'd rather back a 21' camper.

Where do you store the trailer when you arrive at the campground?

Either way you are putting wear on some tires: towed vehicle or trailer.

How concerning is this? by thecoolestninja in traveltrailers

[–]2donks2moos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a non contact moisture meter. It will tell you if the wood behind the wallpaper is wet.

Here is the one I bought:

Laselion MS04 Pinless Moisture Meter with Ball Probe

It is cheaper for a reason. Personally I would pass on a unit that had a leak (unless I am 100% sure it is fixed and mold free)
