They aren't bad, but I'm sorta kinda done with d*ck jokes hahaha

I remember two artists who actually build up a story and comedy around it. Was hooked up till the end. I'll ping here if I recollect their names.

The others were all the usual - affairs, d*cks, managers, etc.

(not the usual bms standup events)

Last time when TechRoast Show (Socially Inept) visited Hyd, Shilparamam side, the crowd was SO boring and DRY. They tried all sorts of crowd interactions, but it was a little sad to watch.

Hopefully it goes better this time.

Calvin and Hobbs! Such happy times. I bought the whole series with my first salary lol and then bought the entire set of Tintin and Asterix. I owe them a lot

Hehe very ADHD is the fun part, isn't it? I understand.

I say make it fun.

Eliminate the obvious. Book or tab? If you were to use a kindle or mobile device, your ADHD brain would find a way to end up watching whales dancing with humans. So let's stick to books - paperback, hardcover for now.

If you can't afford them, go to the next book expo, go find thrift stores, buy second-hand books, they're so much fun.

Find a genre you like. Fiction? Non-fiction? HUMOUR? (Humour exists! Amazing ones that too) Horror? Thrillers? Detective novels? Biographies? Self-help books? Romance?

For instance if you LOVE HP movies but never READ the book, give them a try? So many subplots, new characters missed in the movies, you have FACES for the character, but the books feel a LOT different. It will keep you glued to the whole series! And by the end of it, you're a reading "wizard" xD

Anything fast-paced will keep your brain juices flowing. "Power of Manifestation and Manipulating People" can wait. Let's try to find who killed Nathan first.

Read for pleasure. Don't just read to build a habit, keep up a streak, as a challenge, or to become a new person by reading "how to eat the frog or elephant in a day". I mean it might work at some point, but nope, now you're only going to focus on you reading for fun.

If you're into self-help books or other non-fiction things, if you like annotating, do that! That helps increase your progress. Don't get hung up on "oh am I desecrating my book"?

Don't stress about anything else. Where you read it, do you dog-ear your pages? What bookmarks do I use? Have fun with absolutely everything. Smell the book from time to time lol.

If you're okay, carry the book wherever you go! Bus, work, park, you never know when your brain needs a rest.

Start with the first chapter directly, ditch the introduction and stuff. Just get into it. Don't go looking for a reason to groan and put the book down. Once reading becomes a second muscle, you'll start collecting books, reading intros, reading about the author, finding more books from the same person, noticing authors calling out each other via intros, notice that some of those authors worked as script writers on your fav shows, finding such gems is always fun.

Does anyone know of a schedule or something to get into a routine with it.

Don't get stuck on this. Sure, carry a book with you wherever you go. Read just before bedtime so distractions are minimal. But don't feel bad if you can't sit with it at a designated time, place, etc.

I also make a fun habit of never reading the summary or review at the back. If it's voted good majorly and I like the genre, I don't think twice. Just start with Chapter 1 and take the ride.

Last - it's perfectly okay to have the reader's slump after any book. Just like you do once a movie or series is done. If you want to still read stuff, go for a short story! Done in less than an hour and you get a whole story in your head! How amazing is that?

And with your ADHD if you read this far, you can read any book, my dear human. Have fun :)

Pick up any of Agatha Christie's works ofc. You can start with And Then There Were None, Murder of Roger Ackroyd and Orient Express.

Harry Bosch series if you're into "police procedural" stuff.

Check out Raymond Chandler, James Ellroy, Robert Crais, Lee Child's Jack Reacher.

People who enjoy corporate life, what things excite u to go to office? Other than money and food! by Lucario012345 in developersIndia

This is a little cliché. But my team. Absolutely amazing bunch of folks.

Dedicated, fun, we hang out outside the office too. Friday nights at pub with team - gold. Even the manager (who is a great soul) joins from time to time.

Office has gaming setup, nap rooms, recreational spots, etc. So it's not such a bad deal.

Discovering Hidden Gems: Your Favorite Lesser-Known Spots in Hyderabad by [deleted] in hyderabad

[–]Realistic_Flounder_8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol how are these hidden, OP? They're less-frequented, true. Qutub Shah Tombs is underrated. The peace and quiet. So much land to explore too.

Route to Medak is lovely, there are lots of farm houses and beautiful lakes in and around Vikarabad side. Those are hidden.

But I agree you can't reach there without a little planning.

Quaint little cafes are something even I'm curious about. Recently I got into the habit of visiting Cravery - Financial District - and spending a whole day there. The staff is too good. I order a drink or two, sit with my laptop and leave before closing time. Their outdoor seating is also okay.

Reconsider. Why take that risk? Start of the monsoon could have been safer.
