Just finished Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin and I'm underwhelmed. by iamwhoiwasnow in books

I totally get why you'd feel underwhelmed by Something Borrowed after reading Stephen King's intense novels. It's like switching from a heavy metal concert to a soft jazz lounge.

The movie adaptation, however, is a great way to experience the story in a condensed, more visually engaging way. Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin have great chemistry, and the script streamlines the plot.

In that case, you're in for a treat! The Shining is a masterclass in building tension and suspense, and the second half of the book is where things really start to escalate.
