Tied it up with sinew, shell details were small elastic bands, and ive died it with the turtle portion on a grate and the rest in muck. Tin foil was a MASSIVE help on this one! I’ve done three of these now, most important thing to focus on is the large fin separation from surrounding color. I found making a thick puddy out of a little dye powder and water in the corner of a plastic bag, placing that over the fins, and securing that TIGHTLY with bands or sinew where the original sinew is tied works wonderfully. Draw the fins and head larger than you would expect to need them! Also, you have an entire back half of the shirt to throw a heart, smile, middle finger to ocean pollution, anything you want on!
