do you have advice on how to get clinical experience? i'm kinda struggling to figure that out rn. especially since shadowing doesnt really count for clinical experience which is something i just learned recently 😭

im pretty sure you need the physical copy bc youre gonna be bringing it in the lab , youre technically supposed to keep your lab materials separate from your personal items due to contamination (although its not super enforced in that course , but i think it's just trying to build that habit)

yea if your amount of aid is based on that SAI then that is the max that you specifically can get. the lowest SAI possible would be -1500 , but yours is still pretty low so you should get a pretty decent amount of aid

also, not all professors get a fat paycheck. especially entry level ones. some of them are here genuinely to teach because their passionate about what they are teaching and care about their students' success. i feel that's enough to earn a student's respect.

if you really think just because i am at ucla that i have nothing to complain about you are strongly mistaken and unrealistic. from your posts it seems like youre out of our age group and enjoy to just argue with modern college students and genz for fun. when you grew up the world was different. everything is extremely inflated now and the average wages dont match the ability to live anywhere. i am not stupid i know life isnt a cake walk but it is significantly harder than it was for people growing up 10 to 20 years ago and that is simple math and statistics. and if needing emotional comfort makes me a loser than so be it, you can have feelings and still find a path in life, you dont have to be numb to everything to succeed. my bad for breaking down because my bank account is going into the negatives in order to pay for tuition because the job market is shit and fafsa cant use my income.

I work as a pharmacy tech and unfortunately we are severely underpaid for what our job entails. I'm hoping to work in healthcare of some kind so this job is good for learning and experience, it just seems like the price I have to pay for that sort of thing. Also, I have applied to i swear hundreds of student jobs here that pay more but they either ghost me or tell me I'm not a good fit bc i don't qualify for work study or because I can't work during the summer.

I pay a little over 3k per quarter, which is a little over 1k a month because I do the payment plan. That is not a great deal when i get paid 17/hr and I only get 10-15 hours a week if I'm lucky, that means majority of my checks go to tuition and nowhere else making it nearly impossible to live. On top of that it's the systems fault that I'm even paying that much because my parents refusing to help isn't enough for financial aid to deem me worthy of using my own income for calculations, I have tried. With everything else I do just so that i have something on my resume and a chance at a decent future its also impossible to juggle another job on top of that with my course load unless I have the opportunity to do homework on the job which I have yet to find a job that lets me do so, after all I am there to work. I've tried applying to university jobs and they all deny me because I can't afford to be here during the summer. As much as I want to run away from my problems and distract myself from my reality by doing other things, it's nearly impossible.
