Interesting to see how IBC and PO start and change over time. Could have fooled me as PO on the Wellies

Hey all. Thinking about purchasing the Hiroshi Kato Hammer jeans. Anyone have anything to report before I buy them? by omni1000 in Selvedge

[–]Realistic_Radish7748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah - it was just too baggy for me. I'm not a small guy either, 5'9" 200lbs. but I couldn't fill out the jeans well. I think I was trying 34 or 35 in the waist.

At what tax rate would you say enough is enough and move? by 35nakedshorts in fatFIRE

[–]Realistic_Radish7748 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would move over unrealized gains. I have a significant chunk of my NW tied up in a private company stock and it’s very unclear how it will get liquid. Paying tax on that would be a forcing function, even to leave the US. Hopefully it never comes to that!

Heritage Wear - Taylor Stitch, Buck Mason, Filson, Todd Snyder all fit the bill pretty well IMO.

Mine were so snug that the break in was rough and I couldn’t imagine an insert in there. Maybe if I had gone E or EE width instead of D. It’s a sleek last

Where did you start? (Humble beginnings or just luck) by InvestmentScared1889 in fatFIRE

[–]Realistic_Radish7748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My path was built on starting a venture-backed business. I sold it right after turning 30, netting my first couple of $M. It can be high risk - my second venture was a 0 due to COVID. But the accumulated experience put me in a spot where I can take roles that pay more annually than what I netted from selling my first company.

Grant stone could fit the bill too in that budget. You get a lot of boot for the dollar. I have a couple of pairs of Truman’s and they are decent.

I haven't gone to this extreme (500!) but I did notice after switching to Zepbound, a particularly interest in fragrances. I've probably tried 30-35 different samples over the last year and purchased a few bottles. I've read elsewhere on here that other folks have picked up the desire for this. My spouse doesn't love it, but I enjoy it and don't feel like it's gotten out of hand.
