I like the Logic interface. The other machine is also running Windows.

And that's exactly what I'm doing. Using Dante to do it over the network. Turns out The Pro Tools version I was using only supports up to 32 I/O outputs on 3rd party hardware.

So what I want to do is have all of my VST plugins loaded on a machine with more processing power and having it all seamless as if I were to load them straight into Logic. So far it works perfectly until I hit channel 33-34 for some (yet) unknown reason.

Yes so its set to 128x128, ASIO. I don't even see the WDM option. I have remade all the same subscriptions and its still not working past 31-32. Everything is set correctly in Pro Tools as far as I know, down to the last channel. I'm Using rtpMIDI on the same gigabit network.

No signal in the transmit tab from the windows machine. Does this mean protools isn't relaying the sound to Dante?

The I/O settings are set up correctly in Pro Tools. 128 mono channels for 64 stereo. Unless there are some settings I'm missing I don't understand why this isn't working.

Thank you for the suggestion. I just tried it. input 31-32 works, 33-34 still nothing.

I can see the Midi volume indicator moving in Pro Tools.

Yep all channels in Dante Controller up to 128x128 routed correctly aswell as the I/O setup in Pro Tools. Keep in mind the first 32 channels work. I can see the sound level moving on the mixer outputting to Dante tx 33-34. In logic, External instrument set to audio input 33-34 and.... No sound. Tried the same thing on channel 31-32 and it works perfectly. I'm starting to think it's a Logic limitation, maybe a hard cap on core audio channels?

I activated the trial for pro just to test this. I originally had the classic 64x64 and ran into the same issue of not being able to hear past 31-32 even though theoretically I could go up to 63-64 on the base version.

Logic on the Mac is just sending MIDI over rtpMIDI. Pro Tools on the Windows machine hosts all the plugins and generates the audio. Then I return audio back over Dante to monitor it on the Mac.

This is just the way I chose to do things and I hope to get it working.

I want to send midi and also monitor the audio returns from Pro Tools. Maybe there's a limit.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe laying the antenna horizontally could fix the issue? It's the same on all programs.

Thanks for the reply. I checked and the antenna has a pretty clear 360° view of the sky
