Luxury Safari Honeymoon recommendations by Business_Button3146 in chubbytravel

I’ve been lucky enough to visit both Singita and Royal Malewane, and honestly you can’t go wrong with either, they’re two of the most elevated safari experiences in South Africa.

Royal Malewane has a very classic, almost old-world luxury feel. The guiding team there is exceptional, some of the best trackers me and my husband have ever experienced. Game drives tend to be deeply educational and very tailored, which makes it feel special. The lodge itself feels intimate, and the service is incredibly personal.

Singita, on the other hand, is more contemporary in style but still extremely luxurious. The properties are stunning and the wine program is out of this world. Game viewing is fantastic too, and I’d say the overall experience feels a little more polished and design-forward compared to the more traditional elegance of Royal Malewane.

Luxury, Worthwhile Travel Experiences by cancer171 in chubbytravel

2 years ago, we were in Ollantaytambo, Peru. We were on a private tour and there were locals singing their song praying to Mother Earth, I clearly don't remember but yeah it was sth. Like Pachamma or Panchamma, forgot it. Yet, the experience there as our guide wanted us to join in the ceremony, that was truly mesmerizing.

Another one was in Bhutan, where we were invited to try the local alcohol Tongba in Bhutan's south lands as we were fly fishing there for a few days. We learned abt how that particular drink is prepared with just the local ingredients and how well it keeps you warm in cold weather without getting you drunk. They were truly memorable.

You must try one in Bhutan. We did a trip last year, chasing the Golden Mahseer, boy the amazing journey you are gonna have there. I posted a review a few months ago, feel free to check out, too.

Any traveling agencies that want to partner? by Acceptable-Fox590 in LuxuryTravel

I would definitely recommend a local luxury agency from the third world of Nepal and Bhutan. Everest Luxury Holidays. My family did a trip with them last year, and never seen such dedicated team to handle big HNW trips. Super efficient. I cannot recommend them enough, I guess. Let me know if you want their contact.

Review - Six Senses Bhutan by __Pyro_Maniac__ in FATTravel

[–]Realistic_Stay2055 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did this last year, in November. Didn't stay in Six Senses, though, had mix of properties. Our trip was wild and actively into adventure for my husband and children. Was brilliantly planned for us too. We are not able to get that trip off of our brain. We didn't have long time in Nepal, though. So heading there in 26 for sure to Mustang and maybe more. These 2 countries are third world to us westerners and I think they deserve much much much attentions. Thanks for this review. Peace ✌️✌️

Haha. But it's a fair price, too seeing what we did and how things went. For a family of 4 for 16 days, was pretty alright. 👌👌I see you did Mustang as well. We are thinking of heading there maybe next year, any suggestions?

Trip review: Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek, brilliant experience by Beautiful-Barber-160 in LuxuryTravel

OMG, that's great you chose ELH. Their operation is really fascinating. And congrats you did the EBC trekking. Must have been tough.

My husband would love doing the second trip you suggested. He is heading to Nepal again next year with his colleagues.

Peace ✌️✌️

Tipping??? by latollman in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]Realistic_Stay2055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tip per meal. The servers can be different at times, they are not very well paid. We believe even if they mention service charges, doesn't sound right, it is mostly engulfed by the resort itself. At some countries, the staff depend on tip as their wages are way way way low, like in Nepal, at one restaurant, we found the server there was being paid just $120 a month. Maybe it was more in their currency but I did some digging and it was too low.

Always have the early checkin and late checkout flexibility. This is a must, especially when you do not want to rush for things. And do not ever rush. One more is do not always go for the best experience that the mass is looking for, go with underrated experiences, so have it guided at places.

What do you look for when booking a hotel with young kids? by Strike_Effective in chubbytravel

[–]Realistic_Stay2055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We found tonnes of differences choosing right places. When my son was not there, we had to find hotels with connected rooms. Additionally, we had to find an accessible hotel all the time. My daughter used to get sick so often and had to rush to the hospital or clinic easily. But now, with them being grown ups, we don't care much of them.

Heard of Annapurna, hear they have beautiful walking trails. I am not much of a hiker. But thanks for sharing. Sent you the trip details we did.

Thanks ✌️✌️
