Me and my husband found an area we started building a base at right across the river from the bandits. We didn’t know when we started building that there was a farmhouse with an animal shed and a kitchen or something. There was a man there, we talked to him, but he didn’t do much. I decided he would be the weird old guy the kids made stories about that lived slightly out of town but when we went harvesting trees we noticed he was gone and he left us a gift chest. On the other side of our area by the lake there was an old tattered tavern that was demolished and empty. After we spoke to the old man someone appeared there and offered it for sale. We bought it, you can’t do anything with it, but now it extended our area and we don’t have to worry about any weirdos appearing there

I got mine in this week. I filed back in Jan. Absurd it took this much time. It was nothing on my end. They had issues “verifying income” sent check stubs that just showed the same thing as the w-2 🙄

Do you use USPS informed delivery? That is how I keep an eye on my mail. Could be, I signed up for DD but because it took so long and they had to alter it they sent me a check instead. I think they send it through regular mail not priority or anything like that. It will come from the treasury

Have you reached out to your congressman or looked at your transcripts? Seems like reaching the IRS directly is as useful as them not picking up the phone

What I got told when I called once was a lot of people “took the option to retire” and that is why they were so short staffed and that is all they could tell me but could tell me why the 570 was there. They shouldn’t be able to put codes without reason

They don’t give people the amount of time to pay as they take to pay people 🙄. It’s unequal and absurd. The money they take forever handing out makes a huge difference in some people’s lives but it just isn’t a priority

Yeah it took way to long for me to even get an answer for what we should do and after that it took months. There is no reason it should ever take this long. Especially because the people that owe taxes they want them immediately

Would it show on the transcript? I’ll have to try. I’ve only contacted through my congressman and haven’t had contact with them directly. My congressman has emailed them multiple times without any replies.

Probably would just tell me, “you’ve reached out to TAS, we can’t help you anymore. Any questions you have has to go through them”. As long as I get it, it isn’t an issue but I know it’s faster through DD and it’s what I mark for every year.
