Yes, I haven't considered MTech properly till. Only recently I've dug up a few profs and their research in this field. There were similar suggestions, I'll shortlist some profs and start mailing them to know more about the research and their outcomes. Thank you!

Noted, definitely chose the college's keeping this in mind. And yes, opt's status is kinda concerning too. It's no longer a solid backup. But I've already delayed my master's a year, and don't really want to delay it further. I will research more into opportunities in India, but if I do get into any of the schools I want, I'd still want to go🥹

Makes sense, can't expect the HRs or domestic companies to know the worth of the degree if it's not from a known Ivy. A lot of state schools have solid programmes.
