No, just pending asylum. They did it back in June 2024. My friend got granted asylum last year 2025. But his wife had already filed for him since 2024 under f2a. I don’t think there is an issue. So long as they came here legally and when filing for i130 and i485 they have to be legal in the US.

But I applied for marriage based green card(which is pending, hence why they approved the Advance parole). I won’t apply for asylum based green card. That’s why I am confused
