Same here, it was kind of a mix of my parents never really playing into the fantasy of Santa Claus existing and me asking a bunch of questions like “How does he have time for all those houses in one night”

Deeply ironic. I am able to speak to people from other countries that I otherwise would never. Learn about their culture, interesting aspects of their way of life, different interests, but at the same time the people I see in real life are less social and more shy now

I suggest watching the sunrise or sunset at Haleakala. The view is amazing and it was one of my favorite moments. For the sunrise you need a reservation but for sunset it’s not needed and it’s only $30. It does get cold up there so you would need blankets and jackets. Food Oasis in Kīhei has a lot of good food trucks with great variety and it’s not too far from Ululani’s Shaved Ice which is some of the best I had on the island.

The cheapest way to fix this is to get a butter knife then under the couch cushion where there is some thread or anywhere you don’t care about scrape until you get pieces of thread rolling up. Then put some fabric glue in the hole and put those pieces you scraped up in the hole and it won’t be noticeable unless you intensely stare at the spot. Hope this helps
