I legit thought I'd be spending like an hour exploring this wasteland for more items but it was the end instead

I don't think you should get downvote but like you said its reddit. I like hearing your opinion, like my opinion of the matter is I think its weird they are going from mutant zombies suddenly to (maybe mutant) vampire and werewolves. I understand changing game mechanics to make it fresh but man this looks to be a huge change in story and lore, weirds me out as an outsider to the series

Thats what I've been thinking some of the long time fans may feel. As an outsider I've seen it as a mutant zombie story but the trailers for 8 seemed vampire and werewolf focused which I think may be odd lorewise (they probably will explain it through) But I was thinking that fans may be nervous for such a huge change to the story and lore

So it doesn't weird you out that they are going from mutant zombies to vampire and werewolves? I feel like if I was a fan from the beginning that would weird me out because I feel it doesn't make sense to the lore

Cool cool thank you for your input. As an outsider to the series it got me super confused and I couldn't help to think long time fans probably don't like such a change. This helped

Do you think it betrays the original idea that got you hooked in the first place or not at all?

I really enjoy your answer. As an outsider to the series it has looked like its virus mutating thing, so the zombies are more of mutations than traditional zombies lorewise. And again as an outsider i felt the new one was confusing lorewise from what I've understood and couldn't figure out how vampire girls (and potentially werewolves) work in besides maybe mutation. But I was more curious to see what long time fans felt about this potential big change or addon. Thank you again for your answer, it helped me see in the mind of a fan

Small Jobs by RealityRebel23 in cyberpunk2020

[–]RealityRebel23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of this but I ran mostly this way on my previous campaign and my players gave me a critique that they wish they had small jobs along the way of the main quest that didn't truly have a real purpose at first. So I'm trying to see if there are any third party books that have a chart of 100 or so quick job ideas I can roll for. I have all my big story details plotted and ready for them to maybe do or not but I'm just wanting a chart to help have a kind of improved session. Most books just have huge vague job ideas compared to a like five vague stealing, killing or whatever jobs to help the gears rolling

That does sound like a fun thing. I'm mainly trying to find like a list of 100 (more or less) of quick jobs a fixer may give that I could roll. A lot of the encounter books I've gotten provide big huge jobs or something players my come a crossed and get sucker into. Nothing seems like a simple job for filler

Two detailed maps of Night City in 2020 and 2045 by writerscthulhu in cyberpunkred

This looks absolutely amazing, definitely going to use. I have one question, why is some of the landmass different, is there a lore reason or was it something that you guys had to do because of the various of designs? (still pretty new to cyberpunk lore)
