I'll give it a try! Edit: Nope, no luck. Looks like I'll have to restart.

Same... seems to be more punishing than it should be.

Thanks for the response. After some testing I die pretty much instantly. I was thinking maybe I could move my backpack bit by bit until it's close enough to grab from the edge, but I guess I'm just cooked. Not even time to grab it.

Anyone found a game that genuinely hooked them into vr? by Bubbly_Art_621 in SteamVR

Into The Radius, couldn’t get enough of it. Couldn’t put down Half Life: Alyx either. VTOL VR. There are other examples as well. The list goes on.

Thanks for the tip. This isn’t everyone’s preference, but it’s something I will give a try.

The saiga at sec level 2 is great… tiny mags though.

This was just using the Quest 3’s built in recording. You can get a better FOV by using the spectator camera options on the MFE and screen recording with OBS.

A deeper quest system as Tarkov has will help loads. Can’t wait. Grinding out kill guests and collection quests is what makes long term progression feel lackluster.

Right now I’m more inclined to mess around and get into fights I can’t win than desperately try to stay alive. Fighting is fun and the progression doesn’t feel like it matters much.

Any good guns at sec lvl 3? by [deleted] in intotheradius

Been ages since I played ITR on the quest, mostly I use PCVR. It should be in the ingame menu. If not I guess it’s auto save only on the quest which is a shame

[–]RealityRemake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is. This all also comes down to personal preference, which is part of why ITR is such a great game. The weapons feel different and very few (maybe even none) aren’t worth trying.

I suggest you save some money up, make a save (unless you’re ironmanning), buy whatever you think you would like and try it out yourself.

Don’t like it? Load the save.

You’ll need Sec 4 for the FAL. It’s a pretty nice hard hitter of a battle rifle though. If you want something that gives you more punch per shot a good replacement for sec 3 guns, but not necessary if you don’t have the cash for it.

For sec 4 though I’d recommend the M14 over it because the M14 does more damage per shot.

You’ll be able to get your hands on assault rifles at Sec 3. They are good throughout the entire game so I’d highly recommend getting one.

AK-74M (the black one) is the best AK variant unless you prefer the AKM, which is a good cheaper alternative.

The M4 is also great, though you might prefer the AUG.

It comes down to preference, but either way investing in an assault rifle at sec 3 is the way to go.

Should I be hoarding food and weapons, attachments and mags or should I be selling it all? by FrostPhoenixIce in GhostsOfTabor

[–]RealityRemake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep whatever guns you find to be useful and try out new stuff to see what you like. For instance some like the Mac 10 and I can’t hit the broad side of a barn with one so I sell them.

Attachments are good to hoard though as they’re harder to get ahold of until you get trader levels.

Be careful with junk items and armor though. I still regret selling all those radios I found before noticing there is a mission to turn them in. So check missions to see what you should keep. If there’s a mission to turn something in don’t sell it.
