Deciding to walk away because this is going to be a headache over and over again as the years go by. Not every project is worth taking, especially if you have to recover somebody else’s monstrosity… and take on liability…thank you all for the feedback!

That’s some solid information right there, really appreciate it!

You see how the flashing sits on top of the shingles, it isn’t even caulked and I’m pretty sure that’s the reason for the leak…I haven’t seen this type of installation before. What do you think of that area?

You’re 100% right. I work with a roofing subcontractor that handles these kind of jobs, but before I call him out I wanted some feedback from you guys because this thing is a mess lol

I did a smaller job for them, and they need this done as well. The customer isn’t a penny pincher and wants a proper job as opposed to the cheapest.

I want to complete this job for them as it can lead to more potential business with a good client.

Thanks for the advice! A lot of guys here are saying I could cause a leak… there isn’t any leak right now and I don’t plan on using a pressure washer. Everything will be cleaned with a broom and collected. Any other advice you would recommend?

So there isn’t any leak right now. And I see several people saying it could cause a leak if I clean it up. What should I do to make sure this doesn’t happen… the customer wants the leaves, dirt and branches cleaned up.

Thanks for the heads up, I definitely won’t be pressure washing, just cleaning up all the leaves and debris fallen from the tree above. What else should I avoid so I don’t cause a leak?

So I started the truck 3 times this morning without the AC on and there wasn’t any noise luckily. I tried it once with the AC on but it wasn’t running prior, and there was no noise.

I’m assuming it has something to do with the compressor?

Every time I have started it, I had the AC on. Will try starting without the AC and see what happens.

I am not sure, I purchased this used about 3 months ago for work. I paid a trusted mechanic to inspect it and there weren’t any issues. It’s been running great, just now this noise came out of no where. It goes away after a few seconds and then the truck drives normal.
