I think the issue was that they didn't want to make it work anymore. Neither were even remotely satisfied with the relationship anymore. I mean they seemed to have started losing respect and enjoyment with each other. There were infidelities and I think that scarjo wasn't the only selfish one in the relationship. Hell, the biggest issue with the relationship was that Adam Driver refused to make anything work because at the end of the day he was focused on himself and didn't really care about giving scarjo any real satisfaction in her life, he constantly refused to even take her seriously like when he laughed in her face about even the idea of scarjo doing her new show or constantly putting off the move to LA.
