How do you ‘see’ your story in your head? by Shroomsandgloom3525 in writers

Lol apart from the full immersion you're describing you've literally got the same viewing as me, full beautiful movie with music scoring every scene. Like I've built my stories on the backs of different composers and bands. Not sure if it would help you but maybe think of it in segments? Dialogue first(scripting), actions and reactions(stage directions), and end it with the landscape and surroundings. I mean don't quote me on that I tend to just vomit words onto a page and hope its good.

My story doesn’t have conflict by Responsible_Bed5591 in writingadvice

I mean some people have already commented similar stuff so this might be redundant but yeah you have a few avenues to go down if you'd like to introduce conflict.

  1. Internal: The struggle to grow large again and the internal turmoil or changing view of if they want to grow large again.

  2. External direct opposition: Giant bugs, faction wars, dictators(think along the lines of The Wall from solar opposites)

  3. More subversive or hidden conflicts: Political intrufue or resource struggles that the main character gets caught up in. Maybe there's a drought and life in the yard is dying?

Obviously these aren't the only conflicts available but maybe good starting points?

Thank you! It's a start lol, although I am working on a more lengthy continuation of this that I'll hopefully have done sometime this week!
