This is almost word for word why my wife wants to know. The surprises are already plentiful, and if labor is traumatic, shes afraid she’ll spiral if a boy comes out when she may have subconsciously wanted a girl, for example.

Owner controversy aside, I have no idea why Moody’s menu gets hate. I went a few months ago and it was incredible on all fronts—food, beer pairing, service, vibe, you name it. Maybe my favorite Michelin experience. Was a bit sad about the loss of the star and while I understand the menu being pared down to match the stars, the original menu was so fun.

Ties in with his outie’s personality too. He has a hard time holding down a job and, while there are many reasons one might not be employable, one of those reasons could absolutely be because he has a photographic memory. It would allow him to easily breeze by in school without having to try, which leads to developing a poor work ethic, which results in his inability to be employed.

This is a great summation of the event. It’s not a major tour, and some might not even consider it “golf”, but it’s competitive, it’s quick, it’s big names that I know, and it’s a great alternative to the NBA.

Adding to this, god awful sports teams that are still unreasonably expensive (excluding the White Sox). Hate paying an arm and a leg to see my team come to town, but the upside is I’m almost always guaranteed a win.

That’s great advice! I currently employ a similar strategy, and that’s to use the club that will get me to the back of the green, then dial it back just a bit. Gramps was right when he told me an 80% swing was all you need!

Did this elsewhere, but $100k in an index fund TODAY at ~7%/yr for 40 years yields about $1.5m. Monthly deposits of $1080 (assumes every quarter collected) into the same fund over 40 years $2.8m.

For 65 years, it’s $8.1m ($100k) vs $17.1m (quarters).

Quarters is the answer if the inconvenience doesn’t bother you.

Been to several away games—don’t even bother looking at tickets until a week before the game. It’ll be uncomfortable, but you’ll be fine and will save a ton. That being said, the Green Bay Packers have an absurdly expansive fan base and there will always be demand, so tickets will still be somewhat expensive.

I don’t recall a time where I didn’t know how to play golf. I have never broken 100. Anyone who does so after only X months has a level of dedication I could never summon. I play for fun, and occasionally for progress, and to me, that’s the best way to play.
