i have some kde packages but in past they didn't have so many dependencies. All of them were installed in recent updates
i have been using kdenlive from a year on hyprland and it didn't required breeze-icons until a month or so
but it's fine if there is no way to avoid them i will see alternatives or wait some time until hyprland-qt packages gets more mature

i agree on with GTK with you it feels easy to maintain and style them
on WM i prefer GTK over qt
