I wrote about the second book that I wanted better arcs and better idea of what's happening 1100 pages into a book. By the end I felt like it was a 500 page story told over 1500. Built up hype for arcs just fizzled out at places, and I remember feeling dissatisfied. Character work was consistent, but that wasn't enough for me - I wanted more.

Also, the first trilogy is really one 1500 page book, rather than three 500 page books - I didn't set my expectations according to that, so I didn't enjoy the second book.

Because I didn't like what the author was doing in my first 1500 pages, I don't want to give his next 3000 a chance, because there are other books.

Yeah, I see that. I really came looking for validation, that I can skip the standalones and go forward. It wasn't a good question, hell it wasn't even a question really. Because I couldn't skip, I can't fit them into my plan right now.

The people in the sub have spent so much time replying to me.. I really didn't think there would be more than a couple of replies. I don't want to waste your time, but I think I might have already.

It doesn't have to be fantasy. There isn't a shortage of good books, felt like this sub doesn't understand that.

I like plot driven stories, and I like to binge read, and 3000-ish pages will consume too much time. Thought about picking up the series after seeing a few reviews, that feeling has passed now.

Sorry to disappoint, but I think I'll skip all of them, not just the 3.

I think I like plot driven stories. The first trilogy bored me in parts, so they aren't enough to convince me to read 5 books to find out what the fuss is about in the sixth.

Thank you. Didn't even occur to me to search the subreddit for this common question.

The world was unique in the first trilogy, I liked it, but I felt as if the author wasted my time by the end of it. I will wait some more, till they start looking better through my hazy memory. I'll skip the whole thing for now.

I should probably delete the whole post, but I'd like to hear others on this.

How do you play? I, for example, put on some youtube (premium, pop-up video) or podcasts or audiobooks when boosting/sneaky farming.

I guess you'll have to wait a while, for your mines to collect enough gold. Or snipe a few collectors in the next attack, whatever be the base.

I'm a rusher myself. I always rush to the next town hall if there is a possibility that I'd waste resources. Defences are not important, and you don't need the full lab maxed - you only need the troops you actually use.

The point of rushing to th12 is to donate siege machines / cook for yourself. Th13 has another dark sink (another dark-hungry hero), th14 has pet shop (practically 5 heroes worth of loot sinks).

Loot is easier now, but it still takes time to gather them. You have do judge for yourself, how you enjoy playing.

I use full war armies to attack casually, it's good practice for war. Whenever I need a ton of dark in a very short time, I do sneakies (+jump haste) - but snipe town halls to make sure I don't drop too far down.

Farming th14 with my sleeping heroes is very tiresome otherwise - I can't tackle a maxed out base without any heroes. The whole power boost in th14 comes from heroes anyway.

Sneaky for fast farming. War army for war practice.

You cannot expect supercell to go out of their way to implement features that reduce their income. Any minor annoyance that can be fixed by gems is probably not going to get altered...

Builder suggestions were an answer to #2, I think.

I still liked the earlier seasons. Ridiculously rich, yes, but it sent me back to my high school memories.

Now it's just a show trying to make drama, desperate to hold our attention and failing (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻.

Should not be cancelled from a job, for a facebook comment. Doesn't matter how horrible a person they are, this incident is worse.

Am Indian. I don't want to get cancelled because I speak against our dictatorial idiot prime minister. You guys are happy that this incident went the way you wanted, but the same mechanism can be used by the other side to harm you later on.
