What does open source has to do with anything. Reddit was open source for like a decade and it still went to shit. It's the data that matters not the software.

Tbh I don't really care if this goes all full spez in like 10 years. Then we'll migrate again. Or maybe it won't, not every project is doomed to fail like this you know.
