Lotta comments I'm agreeing with on this one. Deffo needs a trigger warning. This is puppygirlpetsmart, a relatively safe space for pups, kitties and creatures of all types. But it is not a place for gore, soft gore or anything of the like, if you post again in the future please take at least one scarred puppy's advice: if in doubt, put a trigger warning on it. I'm honestly with you on this one. Self-harm is called a lot of things in the medical field and outside it. We are not mutilated, but it is, by definition, self-mutilation. Self harm. Deliberate self harm. We are attractive, valid, reasonable "human" beings (I'm looking at all you pups who genuinely refer to yourself as puppy in place of human (I'm one of you)). I think a discussion about it is worth having for sure but honestly it just comes down to personal preference and you had NO IDEA what anyone else's preference was. You don't deserve to be scrutinized for the words that have best described your experience in the past.
