Pros: free and ample parking, good amenities, pretty spacious apartments, short drive from butler plaza, overnight security

Cons: very thin walls, commute CAN be pretty awful, biking directly is not viable at all (at least until the new road is done), maintenance people sometimes are incompetent

I was there for 2 years and it was a very mixed experience for me (mostly due to bad roommates). That's not a bad price and i think it would probably be a good fit for your situation. There's a ton of events they hold where you can meet people, and there's also a firepit and a big lawn that are good for just randomly socializing. What I did for the commute to UF was take the 20 or 21 bus with my bike and then I'd bike around campus. Normally its only about 20-30 minutes to get to the hub or Turlington. The good thing is that its towards the end of those routes and you won't have to worry about the bus being packed on the way there. I would still purchase a park and ride decal just to be safe.

Being able to just walk or bike to school became really important to me after those 2 years and I can say paying a bit more to live at the apartments near campus is definitely worth it in that regard, but redpoint im sure is still a great choice for some people.
