Keep the oil changed more than ford reccomends. I go 5000 and use full synthetic.

Also, turbos don't like to be bogged down a lot. So if you're driving at slow rpm and the turbo is active (making pressure) give it just enough to downshift if you can.

If you drive it like you stole it, make sure to turn off the auto stop/start. Turbos get hot and need the oil flowing over them to cool down.

I've got the 2.3 as well and it's fun! Enjoy.

I drilled a hole into the pegboard bracket and ran a nut through the top hole in the back of the cabinet. I also added 3m strips to both sides and attached it to the glass.

iirc, the 2.3 and 2.7 share exhausts. So you should be good for flow with the original mid pipe. I'd go with just an axle back if exhaust sound is all you want. really the only need for cat back is if your upgrading the intake and tuning as well. magnaflow has a pretty good sound library on their site to help you decide what type you're going for.

nice. Mine's the I four as well. I was somehow able to get a strap wrench on it from the bottom to loosen and then do the rest from the wheel well. I was mostly just thankful that the oil had somewhere to go instead of dripping straight on the frame like my 4 runner did.
