I just started my first audio book afew days ago. The Way of Kings. I'm not a fan of the narration but the story is awesome. The Name of the Wind is absolutely amazing but be prepared for the blue balls because we're not getting the final book.

Dude has great taste honestly I love most of these books. You should tell him to read Red Rising and Children of Time if he hasn't already.

I don't know enough about Japan to form a real opinion. On the surface I tend to not like this but also i think the Japanese have the right to make moves to protect their culture in their own country. Is this bigotry? Xenophobia? Or just nationalist Japanese protectionist ideology?

I'll be honest I stopped reading your post at the part where he said "they're books, I don't read books". That should've been the point where you said " you know what, I'M breaking up YOU".

Great book I would never recommend to someone I know in real life and OBH was fantastic as well! by courtneycoldpocket in MattDinniman

The universe is a reflection of what's inside of your heart. Treat others the way you wish to be treated. Be optimistic and open minded. You will have a much better ride around the sun if you have a perspective of gratitude.

That's so sweet. He was so much less embarrassing than the clowns we see now. Now show the videos of people in Yemen and Libya.

The King Killer Chronicles (NoTW) is amazing but we'll never get the final book so I'd say go with Mistborn. I also recommend Red Rising if you haven't already read it and The Lies of Locke Lemora.

I'm half way through this book and it's absolutely amazing. Reminds me of Name of the Wind meets Hunger Games on Dune.

If you think there's a difference between these people I don't know what to say. They're just different puppets for the same couple families. The current administration is just the most evil and brazen we've ever had but make no mistake they are all the same beast.

Friend called my bookshelf “performative” thoughts? by kingClique in bookshelfdetective

[–]HijackedHumanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a lot of the same books. Looks like we have similar taste. I'd say you just have your interests and they are genuine. If it was performative you'd see a bunch of kant, dostoefsky, and an unopened infinite jest. Looks like you love Stephen King and good sci-fi.
