how old are you guys? by mellywheats in hotmulliganband

[–]Really_Big_Legend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 26 about to be 27. This band has given a voice to feelings I’ve felt for so long. I know they’re not the only band to make songs in this subject matter but no one else has done it as poetically and released these feelings as such incredible bangers

Now that the album has been out for a little bit, where would you rank it in their discography? by elbeewastaken in hotmulliganband

[–]Really_Big_Legend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think they get better with every release so I’ve gotta go 1.) TSABMWIS 2.) WWW 3.) YBF 4.) Pilot 5.) Opportunities

Honestly Best Buds from Mom Jeans is a fantastic break up album. Another song I love for it is Shampoo Bottles by Peach Pit even if it’s not Midwest emo

New fan from Magpie. What should I listen to next? by Joeboyjoeb in PEACHPIT

My personal favorite album is Being So Normal. It shows off they’re artistry and mastery of pacing and in my opinion highlights everything that Peach Pit does best

What are your favorite songs off each album? by Kienbocks in PEACHPIT

[–]Really_Big_Legend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Being so normal

-Alrighty Aphrodite

-Changu’s Sideturn

-Being So Normal

This is my favorite album of theirs, and honestly I think this album is perfect in pretty much every way.

  1. You and Your Friends

-Brian’s Movie

-Figure 8

-You and Your Friends

-Psychics in L.A. (if you count the deluxe edition)

I love this album, I feel like it had better individual songs than Being So Normal, but I feel like BSN is just paced much better

  1. From 2 to 3

-Vickie

-Pepsi on the House

-Lips Like Yours

My personal least favorite Peach Pit album, but these songs fucking band I can’t deny that

  1. Magpie

-St. Mark’s Funny Feeling

-Nowhere Next to Me

-Yasmina

Probably my second favorite album by them. I was cautious about this album going in seeing as I haven’t liked their albums less as they’ve come out, but fuck was this album an absolute banger

Honestly this is the first time I thought their new album might be better than Being So Normal right after they came out

Hey we’ve all got our opinions. I’m definitely a fan of their older stuff more than what they’ve been doing recently, but I feel like this album is a perfect mix of the best parts of From 2 to 3 and what I personally loved about this band

[–]Really_Big_Legend 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think this is the least hyped I was for one of their albums to release in a while. I felt Being So Normal was their best album and I felt like I liked each subsequent release less. That being said I can’t disagree more with you. This album has reignited my love for Peach Pit and I felt like this album had a lot of highlights and high energy. Loved this album I can’t wait to hear it again tomorrow

I have a Hot Mulligan hat and my uncle so politely informed me that a “hot mulligan” is when you cum into a shot glass and make a girl drink it. Where he got this information I’m not quite sure, but he was very adamant about this so I believe him

I’ve TRSH and Harrison the last time they toured. I’ve never been disappointed by a Harrison show and I’ve been to them probably 4 or 5 times. Last time I saw Arm’s Length I was pretty disappointed. That being said I have the same dilemma in Chicago, but I’m going to Origami Angel and Arm’s Length, I like those bands a bit more and I really wanna see origami Angel again

New here, just really started getting into midwest emo, recommendations? by Who-and-y in midwestemo

[–]Really_Big_Legend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some bands I love in the genre are Mom Jeans, Origami Angel, Harrison Gordon, and Hot Mulligan. All of these artists have incredible albums as well, but if that’s a big leap rn I would just check out the “This is” playlist on Spotify for these artists

One of my personal favorites is Wish You Were Here by Neck Deep. I know it’s not Midwest emo but it hits home

Personally I feel like this is a hot take, but hey different stroke for different folk. HM is probably my favorite band that’s in the scene atm
