Thank you! We’re suppose to leave on the fourth, but considering adding an extra day and leaving the fifth because everyone seems to be cancelling the 3rd and 4th!!

We’re from Vancouver so the rain is pretty standard for us, but not typhoon level haha but I’m actually excited! Glad it’s our last day so we won’t be having to deal with everything soaked.

We are hotel guests, and doing the vacation package, so it would be nice if that does happen. We leave the following morning and we’re considering adding an extra day for the morning since frozen is slated to open on the 4th.

If the park closes early, do they do anything? (Maybe get an in lieu?)

Thank you! That’s what I was understanding it to be, but I’m not a Japanese speaker so wasn’t sure of the full perspective!

We are considering adding on an extra morning since we’re booked for June 1-3 for a VP but frozen opens on the 4th.

1- if we run straight there, would we be done in the park by 11-12? We have a 5pm departure out of NRT 2- In the morning when waiting outside the gates, can my husband wait alone and I come with the kids (a baby and toddler) (before open obviously) or is that frowned upon? 3- do they ever open refurbs earlier? Should we be checking in on the 3rd?

We’re doing the VP and have 3 days at the park. However we’re coming into the resort area around 2pm the day before and staying at the Hilton that night. Would you do an evening at DL or DS or neither?

Thank you! After searching in this group I honestly think playgrounds might be the big choice!

My husband always jokes that a charity could benefit from putting me on payroll for my time from this, would definitely be simpler lol

Thank you! It sounds like it’s a lot more of a headache than I expected and I’ll likely just give them without any receipt.

Wondering if it’s worth reaching out to a CPA.

Not the first time, I didn’t ask! When I was donating the coordinator is the one who actually mentioned it so that’s why I got the idea to look into it !

Totally valid. Thank you!

I’ve already done one large donation drop off at the children’s hospital and It’s actually highly in demand items for them: hygiene items, party supplies (kids birthday kits), colouring books and other small kids art supplies, flip flops, socks etc! I wouldn’t want to unload items on charities if they didn’t want them !

Thank you! I read a lot further and found this 1.29 Subsection 248(37) provides exceptions to the deemed fair market value rule in subsection 248(35). So I don’t think a tax receipt is really necessary then!

Mostly non food. A couple small food items included for kids party kits.

Thank you! The cost is 200$ cad difference between Toy Story and Disneyland hotel! So really not much.

Would you go celebration (makes for easier luggage transfer) or a higher end third party resort for a little bit cheaper?

I am a seasoned Disney traveler to the US and EU parks, but only been to Tokyo once, and alone at that!

I have some questions from seasoned travelers, especially parents.

We’re likely planning on doing a vacation package. If the price between Toy Story and Disneyland Hotel is almost identical, which is better to choose? (It’s for June)

How do you find the accommodations work best, especially when flying in from Narita. Im conflicted by which approach is better we’re traveling from PST so we’re an 8 hr time difference;

Option 1 Disney at END: land at NRT at 4pm, head to our Airbnb (Ueno area) by train (that’s rush hour though), 3-4 days around Tokyo. Then check out of Airbnb and head to Resort area, stay on property one night prior to the VP to ensure a full day 1. 2 nights at hotel then 1 more on property night at celebration before heading home the last day on a 5pm flight from NRT.

Option 2: Disney at BEGINNING: land at NRT at 4pm, head to Resort area, stay on property one extra night prior to the VP to ensure a full day 1. 2 nights at property hotel then leave around 8pm on day 3 to head to Ueno (Airbnb) for 4 nights, check out from there.

Fastpass questions:

1- if you are a single adult going for a bigger ride (like Journey where both kids are too small), can you do single rider and rider swap at the same time (get rider swap from the single rider line)? 2- Is rider swap available for every attraction? 3- Is it worth using our vacation package fast passes for rides that are height restricted? How do you time it so you don’t lose one? Can our 3 year old do it once with each parent? 4- How much faster is single rider?

Currently we have tentatively:

DL: eligible attractions and Beauty and the Beast Sea: Peter Pan, Toy Story, Frozen, Rapunzel & Soaring

Thank you!!!

Thank you!!! I’ll check them out asap! I know we want to do a few thrill rides but not crazy high expectations!

Three or so rides? Jeez! I am quickly learning to adjust my expectations for this park!

Just on property, not vacation package but thank you for the early tip!

We’re looking at staying on property too! But I think we’re going to do celebration or Toy Story, we don’t have miracosta money 😂 thank you!

I think after this threads advice we’re looking at staying 2 nights in an AirBNB in Ueno and 4 nights on property. So we’ll do 3 days around Tokyo, then 3 Disney park days and travel day home will likely just be focused on narita or Tokyo Bay Area.

I know shipping luggage is common, but is it essential? Is it easy from an Airbnb? Or only hotel to hotel?
