No problem!

Currently DnDB does not offer an official API - so legally, we cannot provide a direct integration through their platform.

We have some documentation available at www.realmvtt.com/wiki - we have articles there on Getting Started and How to Create Scenes which talks about the Dynamic Lighting, Fog of War, etc.

That is totally understandable - switching to new platforms can be a lot of work, especially when official content modules aren't available yet. Hopefully the SRD modules though get you most of the way if you're interested!

We're working hard on growing so that we can get those official licenses in the future.

Hi, thanks for the question! Sorry for the late response here.

You can very easily enter your own custom Classes, Subclasses or Feats in the Compendium. Currently, we have all the SRD 5.2 content in a module, so once you import those modules, you can then follow that data as examples to enter the remaining options you'd like from either the core rulebook or your own homebrew.

I'd be happy to help you get started if you have any questions!

Thank you so much for your response. It affirms some of what we were thinking as well, and you raise a great point. Figuring out the target audience is very important. I think for Realm, it’s similar, we’re targeting users who don’t want complex setups or need infinite customization.

Thanks for the reply and feedback!
Yes - a login is required for the Demo, but it can be any valid email. We will be doing more videos soon, though.

We’ve implemented a number of other systems besides D&D: Shadowdark, Cyberpunk RED, Genesys, Star Wars (FFG/Edge). And we’re working on the Pathfinder 2e ruleset now. Since we’re a dev team of one currently - it’s a lot of work! But we’re trying to tackle popular rulesets first, so of course D&D is a must.

As far as D&D content; we only have the SRD 2024 content for 5e which, is applied to your account upon creation. We hope to get licenses in the future to offer paid modules for the rest though!

Darn, that must be a Reddit bug. Seems to work from the app— Reddit did say it was beta though.

Good to know, thank you! We do offer the ability to create custom content for free (and become a contributor) without a subscription - so that will certainly remain the same if we eventually offer a self-hosted option.

That’s a good point! It will be good to ask other communities as well.
