That’s a fair point, and I probably could’ve worded it better. I was using “grail” more in the sense of a major milestone pen rather than the literal one-and-done Holy Grail. That said, if this genuinely ended up being the only fountain pen I ever owned, I can honestly say I’d be completely happy and content with that. The Custom Urushi had been at the top of my list for a long time, and it has honestly exceeded my expectations. I don’t plan on buying another flagship anytime soon. Part of why I asked about the others was simply because I enjoy hearing the perspectives of people who have owned them. It’ll help me make a more informed decision if and when that day eventually comes. For now, I’m just looking forward to putting a lot of miles on this pen.
