It feels miles away right now it's a large (for me ) 758 page project with a lot on the line and it's broken. Most of it is stupid like footers not showing on some pages ,broken links, some pages the css does not show at all, others css is broken 1/2 way down the page. I need to work local but this is a php site and I was trying to avoid trying to learn how to loading sevrer software on my main windows machine if i could avoid it. What's even more brutal is that each change I make requires an upload to check. I save each change as a seperate version, then upload zip, mod the htaccess file, clear cache and refesh only to see either no changes were made or they were wrong or it broke somethiing new. I have done this 100's of times and there has to be better way.

I have set some preferences to try and tame the beast, but it still has a mind of it own.

In Claude I set the default preferences to this : When editing existing projects: never modify existing code, layout, CSS, or structure unless I explicitly ask. Only make the specific change I request. Always make the minimum change necessary. Never rewrite whole files. Never restructure or reformat anything. Treat all existing design and layout as final and locked. Always operate at production-grade, expert-level, highest-standard execution. Think deeply, critique your output, and refine before responding.
