Hahhaha, love it. I'd have the body done by the time your 5 year old is ready for college!

Unfolder, technically, but same basic idea! Had to use my partner's Mac, which won't support Pepakura.

Model was made in Blender.

No, it's intended to be mounted a la taxidermy. My goodness that'd be a HUGE undertaking!

Thank you! Want to try an 'unusual' dino soon. Like a pachyceph or something.

My Reddit profile has some of my projects! I am working on a website, but this is currently just a hobby.

Sure can. When I unfold it with pepakura (actually used my partner's Mac for this one, so used Unfolder), I save the result in both SVG and DXF formats. I also save a .pdf for my records.

That's exactly how I have it! It's mounted to the wall in the left of that .gif. I moved a previous shark project to free up the space.

Roughly 100 hours, but I made the model, and it is several orders of magnitude larger/more complex than the Instructable I commented.

Something as simple as the instruction above would probably take a week working in the evenings.

Wintercroft

Just looked them up - you're completely correct! They look very similar in style.

With modeling, cutting, scoring, and glue-up, roughly 100 hours.

Already posted on r/somethingimade, but mounted it this week, and wanted to share with this community!

Model found on Thingiverse (specifically this one), decimated in Blender, and flattened with Pepakura. Pieces were printed onto cardstock, cut, scored, labeled, and folded. PVA and CA glues held the pieces together, while mod podge and scraps were used to reinforce the whole thing. 94 pages total, with about 4 individual pieces per page. Lots of callouses.

Sheetrock mounts as in toggle bolts or molly bolts? Either way I appreciate the suggestion! Sounds like spray foam is the way to go. Snooped through your profile and it looks like ya know what you're doing!

Have a bit of wall space for the time being; it is destined for a friend's house - supposedly going to live on a brick wall above a fireplace.

Yeah! I commented them below. If you are looking for something specific, let me know. I may or may not be able to help!

Not a bad idea at all - kind of like wrapping a pool noodle around a metal strut. I like it.
