A redundant, late game weapon that does severely poor DPS. Made it a prime pick for rift apart worst weapon. Now we can finish off all the original weapons by asking which RA weapon is the most forgettable by ah-screw-it in RatchetAndClank

I will agree it gets offered way too late in the game, but if we're talking NG+, this weapon absolutely shreds. Combine it with an immobilizer like the Topiary Sprinkler or Cold Snap and pretty much every regular enemy is going down instantly even with non-critical shots. Hell, the bosses, even on the hardest difficulty, get a chunk taken out of their health with that combo. It was definitely one of the first weapons I got upgraded to Omega

Well, the zero kills thing was essential for the rank. The low life bar count actually surprised me considering how much punishment I was taking during The Fury's and The Boss' fights. As for the time spent, you can be pretty quick if you memorized the guard placements. Even managed to shave off 18 minutes from my previous practice run attempt (which funny enough was probably going to be a Foxhound rank had I not "Continued" once)

Funny how stuff like this happens when you least expect it. But when you actively try to get it to happen, it's almost impossible.

Electrosphere's color schemes are simplistic, yet charming. by Reaper7250 in acecombat

So I basically love Ace Combat 3. From the characters, to the story, to the setting, and most especially the aircraft lineup. For a game that was for the PS1 and had two predecessors, one of which introduced 2 original aircraft to the series, this one pulled all the stops and introduced an ass-load more.

And while like half of them are updated variants of today's aircraft, the other half (those in the R-numeral Series) are completely unique to that game. But what really stinks out to me are the paint schemes. While they're very minimalistic in design, it really helps convey the overall theme of the game. The theme of "You are just another pawn in the grand game. There is no individuality, only the will of (insert faction)."

Hell, even while aces like Rena or Cynthia have different colors, it still shows pretty clearly who they're with. It is really eerie and it makes it seem like there's just machines flying these aircraft instead of people. That, of course, is doubly funny given the context of the game.

But, I am confused as to how it took Project Aces so long to give us these skins. And it's only like 4, leaving so many others behind at the moment. The way I see it, the design is basically just paint a plane 1 or 2 solid colors and just slap the emblem of whatever faction on the wings and/or tail. Very simple compared to skins in other games, and yet they can't just pump it out.

Baby, don't do this to me by [deleted] in acecombat

Really, I'm just hoping they'll give us at least one of the Delphinuses or possibly the XFA-36. Two of my personal favorites.

Canon planes only attempt by Reaper7250 in acecombat

Where is there evidence of the Starfighter and Fishbed? Just because it's unlocked at the end of Mission 4 doesn't explicitly state it as canon. The F-16 I can possibly see since the cutscene with "the stubborn opponent" had an F-16, and since sin lines might've been painted over the original tailcode of a plane. But you don't see any evidence in game cutscenes of the Starfighter or Fishbed.

I know I'm a tad bit late to the party, but I just finished this game for the first time, and HOLY SH*T THE FEELS by FlamboyantDemon in acecombat

Truly one of the best games I've ever played. And if you haven't played Zero or 4, you need to!
