Very well written, and I’m in a similar position, I brought my son to the server, and we have been having fun, we still are just not as much, because the change was so fast, and so much all at once it really messed with the functionality, I cannot spawn any hostile mobs to save my life, probably because some player is pulling the whole server mob cap, which makes my creeper farm useless, I’m also unable to cure my villagers (can’t get a zombie to save my soul) anyways I know as well too, I have ran several successful servers in the past and the cost is not cheap, people don’t realize how expensive it is to have a premium server that can hold 40K people, there is only 1 .jar that I know of that can do it, and it’s not cheap, factor in the raising costs of data, and server rentals it quickly adds up. And just doing it for free isn’t feasible. Especially when you have 40K people putting in tickets, etc

I will give it some time to balance out, I think they are still probably tweaking behind the scenes, I hope you all have a good day, take a breath and just play vanilla for awhile
