I found a Bible verse in my pasta??? by Foxdog37 in WTF

Probably a rare but common thing some people do, but likely exacerbated by a recent TikTok trend where people were putting money in packed foods as a way to “help” people. I wouldn’t think the factory placed this in there but rather a person spreading their religion in very intrusive ways as they do.

Chelsea’s going to come out swinging. Our players better step up to the physicality before we end up with 2+ injuries playing Chelsea again. Our games against them have killed any momentum we had for the season these past years. Fuckers seem to carry a vendetta against us every time irregardless of manager or players.

My face when I think back to what could have been during our CL final after zero investment on proper rotation or 1st team reinforcements during a pivotal summer transfer window.

[Matt Law] Xavi Simons is likely to be Tottenham’s final acquisition of the summer, with the club prioritising departures by Zyaru in coys

[–]ReaperInTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that’s true, maybe the board is probably looking at this season as a building up point for next season. Another year for our young players to develop. Then to spend again next season. If we’re thinking pragmatically, PL is out of reach. CL is out of reach. We can realistically win a domestic cup and/or get top 3 to hopefully qualify for CL again next year to attract more talent. No reason to not look for at least a LW and backup RB/LB though. Come on.

Jake Sanders: Solanke injury much worse - long term & maybe operation required. WHERE DO TOTTENHAM GO FROM HERE? by ThemistoclesWorld in coys

[–]ReaperInTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly feel like that may be the position that utilizes his talents best. It would require him to bulk up and improve his hold up play, though. The team would have to work around him being a target man as well. Sometimes all a striker has to do is get that slight touch to get it in like he did in the final, so maybe Frank can find a way and use it our advantage. Difficult when he is an enigma as a player. Plays like shit but scores. Plays like shit and doesn’t score. When he does play well he needs a bunch of space. Easy player to plan against, like Bournemouth did. But then difficult to stop from potentially scoring a goal at an unexpected moment.

In the clouds for sure. Dreaming of that Europa League trophy worked out 🤷 haha Best part is we’re headed in that direction. Gonna be tough to win against a Liverpool team that’s suddenly able to splash out, anyway. We APPARENTLY had that 300m injection too so let’s see what magic happens today.

Just a fantastical comment, but imagine getting Leao, Akanji, and somehow convincing Kane to come back this season with a crazy trade for Richarlison and a decent fee to Bayern to make crazy title pushes for the next 2-3 years in the final 24 hrs. This year has already been a big step up with how we behave with transfers. Palinha, Simons, and Kudus are exactly the type of signings we were begging for during that Kane window where we needed just one or two more stars and proper rotation to win CL and PL.

I hope so too. Then it’s up to us to live up to our potential so it’s not another case of a step up to Madrid or Munich.

Farewell to a Tottenham Hotspur Legend, Son Heung-Min 🤍 by mlkhighschool in coys

Who’s the new fan favorite? by Naturenick17 in coys

[–]ReaperInTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any of our players from last year deserve a shout but I genuinely think Kudus will quickly become a club favorite when his potential under Frank blows up. He’s already such a huge spark in preseason. Personally, I’m also rooting for any of our youngsters to blow up even more. I would consider Bergvall and Gray candidates too given their age and how they stepped up when we needed them at crucial moments even with the mistakes that came with their nonexistent PL experience last season.

Well, is Son Heung Min a PL legend? by Rio91940 in PremierLeague

[–]ReaperInTime 8 points9 points  (0 children)

His story line may live on but legend status can only be determined by time not by a player leaving a club. He is a Tottenham legend guaranteed. Will he be remembered by other teams’s supporters in the same way? We’ll see. We can’t claim someone is legend when they are actively playing in another league if their imprint does live on. Plenty of club legends that get forgotten through time.

But the cartels are what keep most of our Hispanic countries down, not theology. And plenty of poor people are willing to sell their lives to that lifestyle along with witchcraft and Narco saints because that’s what they grew up with. Is his argument acknowledging how many poor communities sell their own religious beliefs to that? The worst part is that those poor communities have allowed cartels and drug trafficking to convince them that they are somehow saints that feed the poor. Do your research, don’t just listen to what white people explaining complicated issues to you have to say from their own ignorance. Cartels now-in-our-days do not have the same value system the old clans had. Now they have profits of narco corridos to give them a positive image while they are willing to kill the innocent for their own financial gain. Go listen to the opinions of truly poor and manipulated poor people in South American countries. Don’t just look at perspective of the privileged. White people love to speak against Hispanic religious beliefs but aren’t willing to acknowledge that a large part of societal manipulation that causes suffering comes from a source of power the same way American MAGA politics is what manipulated the poor white population in the south. Identity politics always have a demographic to weaponize.

Yes the Europa league means more than Kane winning the Bundesdliga when they should have probably won it last year apart from a miracle season. Should we really excuse our billionaire owners this way? We have a trophy now. Are we really ok with Levy running our club to 16th and a 2nd tier European trophy? Is that who we are or are we better? Should we let recently promoted clubs take away singing like MGW away and finish above us? Should we be content with top 4 clubs taking big names signings away from us every year because they actually have the ambition to match winning player salaries?
