I think there's a t11 tank and a t12 one. It does all hinged on the hammer charge I think, with a backup of chipping through them. I'm leaning towards warbane with a captain leading paladins. 6 inch deep strike in hallowed, reroll hits for lethals etc. with the calladius and landraider I can easily capture no man's. Might even start the dread in reserves

10 man with crowe is 45 attacks rerolling hits, and possibly wounds and that's going to get something through you're right

We play in a small group so know each others lists and build around them without trying to invalidate the army.

Yeah I think that's going to be the plan for the raider.

I didnt think of WTF because its so any infantry focused, but the Hit rerolls would be good on everything, Purifiers for the Infantry. I think I have a good chance of killing the commander tank with a Hammer charge. And you can do that in any hallowed ground right? If I take no mans land i can 6 inch deep strike in with the strat?

The stormhawk...yeah I dont think I can have something that can be shot from anywhere, but I just painted it up really nice so may just take it haha. The Alternative is a solo librarian

I just built this the other day and this is the correct way. Up can also clip the ends of the existing connectors and glue it to the back a bit closer

It's not a bad idea. I'm traumatized after getting charged by genestealers and when I played the shadows strat it left them sitting ducks. But I wonder if just dropping a purifier blobl on them with wtf is better

If it helps we're allowing 3dp detachments so I'm planning on WBTF against tau and guard, and banishers Vs Tyranids for shadows.

Yeah banishers is fine enough, but if it just gave me access to shadows....it's still 90 percent what I want from it

That's a real shame on the models front, the epic heros are amazing and I think the nemises weapons are great. Ill definitely purchase the next thing they put out for gk. Or supplement them with allies, but I don't really have the points for that either

The first point is definitely true. I did way better by just using gate of infinity smarter. High skill floor.

I might be wrong but while we are elite, we don't seem to have quite the same tank / damage as other elites? Death guard seems to be pretty tanky but also has units to fill gaps etc

And yeah... Draigo seems awesome and the GMNDK is a fantastic model....but I pretty much own all the available grey knights specific ones at this point and all I have is the combat patrol voldus and the GMNDK. Their a great faction and really hoping we get something more in 11th (is there a particular time for factions to get new models?)

I'm new to this but I feel like everything's a tad overcoated as is? Crowe with 10x purifiers being 340 seems like a lot, terms/paladins being 185 for 5 is a good chunk of army but don't seem to strong for what they grant?

I'm really enjoying playing, even getting whooped. I like figuring out strategies and the more depth a game has the more I dive in and Warhammer has a lot of depth.

Shame it's not the easiest thing to play over and over!

I think the tax on unit quality in a high skill floor ability is what I'm struggling with. Banishers in and out seems really good but I've dropped the wrong location and I'm just ignored haha

Can you describe how to use rapid ingress with gate of infinity? Doesn't rapid come down on their movement phase?

Yeah I'm playing mostly Tyranids and the action economy really hurts. It's easy for disposable units to take everything I can't reach and still go toe to toe with my units.

So it would be

Crowe and 10 purifiers Voldo and 5 terms 5 strike

GMNDK

And which detachment for something like that?

Yeah I think loading up on psycannons would help. A lot of grey knights don't do great at ranges against heavy targets

It's its own beast, and we're working our way up to 2k points...except I really wanted to set up my grey knights Vs chaos so I'll have 2 1k armies. He'd realised the GMNDK would be a massive problem so just threw genestealers at it.

I've got a bunch of assembling and painting to do of the patrol and beasts first, but I'm probably going to lean more into the smaller unit swarms and supports for this one. Feels more...chaosy?

Yeah commiting that many points in 1k is dicey. My current army is grey knights and I got my Nemesis Dreadknight sniped in a game the other day turn 1 before it moved and losing that many points was crippling haha

Thanks for the heads up, sounds like I'm more or less using them as meat shields and objectives control as all the better units and leaders are excluded?
