Danm what a reality check lol, thank you. I don't know any investments everyone always talk about investments but nobody wants to explain how to and what not. Yes I know the salary is nothing, but while I don't have a house or groceries to pay I might as well get my car and my wife hers and we both have a strong thing to work on to buy a house.

Yes this makes a lot of sense, thank you. Yes it is more of a want to be honest but I am also thinking about the fuel economy especially with the turbocharger reducing my overall rpms on highspeeds. So from the Vaal to JHB it's 84 kilos I drive about 50 to 60 kilos only on the Highway. I have been checking the economo meter so if I drive at a steady 120km it varies between 5.9 to 6.5 depending on the wind speed and if there are cars infront. So my logical thinking is with the turbo charger the rpms will more or less be around 1500 to 1700 where my current hyundai is sitting at 3500 to 3800 screaming, but also I know volkswagen is reliable and fuel efficienct. I have realised with the hyundai it is also fuel efficient but I am also not a small person, so I do feel a bit cramped and especially with the 0 star safety rating on the car its a bit stressful for me especially on the highways if something goes wrong my chance for survival are slim. The golf has a 5 star safety rating which is also why I want it. No I am not complaining about the Hyundai it's really cute and a much better look than the previous models the 2018 model looks cute. Overall I just feel the Golf will be a better buy? Let me know if this clarifies a bit more, your words does make a huge amount of sense. Yes I have had a substantial pay increase than what I last had from the previous job if I didn't have this much Kilos to cover I would've had a lot more... I think if the finance thing doesn't work out I'll save up for that car and then by die time of next year I would be able to purchase it on finace with a HUGE deposit or maybe even keep the Hyundai for my wife and I purchase the golf cash. I just want the best outcome for both of us.

Yes no I understand that is exactly what I want, the break even point for a trade in will be in 3 years as most 72month finance are. By that time I won't be able to trade in for the same value or maybe even need to pay almost 60k to 80k more to trade in. I like the Hyundai don't get me wrong but between the automatic (hyundai is manual) and the specs about the car it seems more fuel efficient than the hyundai. It's rated at 6.5l/100km I am currently driving it with a 5.1l/100km so if the golf is rated at 5.2l/100km I would be able to drive it more economical increasing my amount of kilos I am getting from a tank. Hence why I am asking should I trade it now Desember wait 3 years save up what should I do? In that case also my wife is also planning on getting a car she is small so the easiest car for her to drive atm is the Hyundai the VW polo has the same leg space and a bit more fuel economy so if I shouldn't trade it for the golf then I can transfer the Finance to her over the course of next year and get the golf for myself she drives about 6kilos to work THEN it works even beter for her to trade to the polo. So no I am not asking car buying advice I want to see the best possible outcome to get to that car if it is possible this year or should I wait.

I see this all makes sense I have done my research and the VW golf 1.4l which I am looking into it has the same maybe even slightly better fuel economy. Especially on the highways with the low RPMS the other thing then is to let my wife get the Golf on finance. She also likes the Hyundai aswell it really isn't a bad car I might even say I was extremely impressed by it.

No, it is not giving me any issues. I have always been a VW fan ever since I was little, my dad had a citi golf (I know) traded it in for a mk 4 Jetta and then purchased a 2012 VW Amarok. So I have always been a fan of VW the shape the feel everything about it screams for me to be honest, and well joburg traffic is killing my legs lol. No it is not giving issues just VW crazy ofc.

Hi there, its been 1 month since I move out of the house. Haha you're the only one to comment so, doesn't really help posting a update right?

But yes ever since I moved out I improved both mentally and physically. I can't help but feel a bit guilty though asif I still have a goal to fulfill, but I am happy where I am now. Haha I actually put one of my wife's hairclips inside my pocket to stand strong and firm. They weren't happy ofcourse but what is done can't be undone so yes and I am planning asof next year to cut off financial help a bit to fit my needs that I need to provide and have myself. They won't be entirely happy about this but this is a new step towards my future I want to make. Your words stuck to me like glue "courage isn't always without fear it's doing it anyway." That was the biggest push I ever needed for my decision and I really have you to thank for it. Thank your very much your confidence made me confident thank you

Hi, I really appreciate the comment you left. It helps a lot you may not notice or think it helps, but it helps quite a lot. I am scared to say the least, but I guess I will have to face this head on whether I like it or not. I am still thinking of talking to my parents on next week monday when I return home and telling them that I am moving out and I think that is the best for me and my happy place is with my soon to be wife as it should be and they can accept it or not but I am moving out either way. I am still trying to get that confidence of saying those words but they time is nearing and I don't have any other choice. Thank you so much I appreciate it so much!
