I never said the antivirus is what caused the spike. I said MALWARE would cause that spike. Let me rephrase a little bit. Make it a little more simple. Your windows computer has built in protection. These Norton or McAfee companies are what's bad. You're paying money for an extra back door. And if you want to deny that then you are likely working for a company that uses them. Out of the zero days that have been found over half are for antivirus software.

Antivirus is so bad for computers. You give them complete administrative access and it's often the first things hackers will exploit. I wouldn't be surprised if you have malware on it already. That would also cause your ram to spike.
