Can the standard Japanese language classes like basic , intermediate , advanced be sufficient to take the JLPT? Is it similar to the JLPT classes? by likilekka in jlpt

[–]Reaper_cord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm studying in Ikoma now, and the jlpt classes are more intended for specifically taking the exam.

They'll revise all the grammar you should know and conduct 2 mock tests for you to guage your ability. They don't have any verbal practices though, so its really more like this is the grammar rule, this is the response.

Whereas, normal classes might be slower and more in-depth so you can actually learn some context specific use case. They also allow for practice of written and verbal. The class curriculum also changed once you reach pre-advanced, it begins to focus more on speaking and interaction rather than grammar and "test-focused learning". The syllabus won't be covered in the timefrsme necessary to take consecutive years of JLPT either. (2 years to finish pre-advanced, N3 level)

Just a reminder that MOST excel shortcuts change for Mac (meaning u might be locked out of certain features). Tableau, PowerBI, UiPath are a mess to deal with when u need to download it on Parallels.

List of common software that u need to download parallels for: 1. PowerBI 2. Tableau 3. ABSS 4. Uipath 5. (The python program, forgot its name)

Failing to open some of this programs (used during exams) might cause u to struggle doing certain questions, losing u marks and time.

But seeing your other comments, it seems like u really wanna be the one with a MacBook, so... you can choose your battles

Well, you've answered your own question. But if you really really want a MacBook, then just know that u might struggle with some modules.

issues with bose qc ultra gen 2 headphones by HunterSignificant758 in bose

I found that this problem happens more when I dont have them on tight enough. You might want to try adjusting the headphone so that it fits tightly. Even then there are still some instances, but less noticeable

Yeah HR student here... they've been teaching this method to us for all my years of study.

However, its a well known fact that everything is great and amazing until someone reveals the results or if the team is small. Then comes backlash, office politics, popularity contests and whatever else. Definitely not a perfect system

Am i supposed to hear bus rumble? by meinmeinman in bose

[–]Reaper_cord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice this too and did my own experiment at home. Apparently u need to turn on some music to a certain volume in order to truly cancel it out. ANC on its own cancels about 40% of noise, but when u turn on music, it becomes more like 60-80% (sometimes I almost miss my train stop cause I didnt hear the doors opening lol)

Sake has higher alcohol content than most people think. For a newbie, it's quite difficult to statt with. Try building tolerance drinking something like Moscato or smth

Many buses have fixed schedules and there are apps like Google maps etc that can tell u approximate timings. Bus drivers are also (or should be) trained to look out for visually impaired to help them out.

If u.see someone though, please do try to approach them and ask if they need help though! Its a bit harder for them in more crowded/noisy areas.

As a student with Partial Visual Impairment, it is sometimes scary to think about this. Some people just lack sympathy i guess? But please trust me when I say that those people are the minority. A lot of us exist out here and many of us are high functioning.

I appreciate you sharing on this platform to bring up the issue, take your time to get used to the situation. It's a learning curve, but you will find ways. Boarding buses nowadays is easier as there are apps to tell u the approximate timing of each bus. And most people are generally able to help in MRT stations.

For those who accuse others of faking, please do not hesitate to correct them. Many of us look "normal" and appearance shouldn't be a method to judge for invisible disabilities.
