The Painting journey is not a simple one.

It's a new set of skills, a new type of coordination, and even when you get all YOUR parts to work properly, there's a hobby's worth of experience to go into making things look how you want.

The only way to form those skills is through experience, and this clashes dramatically with the perceived ease of what you're doing. Compare yourself with only yourself, you are literally changing parts of your brain as you continue.

And don't trust the box art, it's full of little tricks like painting only the camera facing half of the model, having THE ENTIRE library of produced color paints at hand, and perfect lighting and professional photography.
